Acting and Performance students were treated to a special African Connections workshop to celebrate Black History month at Edinburgh College.
The PASS Theatre was alive with the vibrant sounds of South African artist Morgan Njobo and his After Freedom Productions Company as students were taken through some of the regular routines from their performances before getting to try them themselves.
NC Level 6 Acting and Theatre Performance student Beth Hogg said: “The African Connections Workshop was such an amazing experience. Watching them perform at the start was great and I couldn’t stop smiling. Getting the opportunity to learn dances with them was incredible.”
Black History month is celebrated every October in the UK and this year was its 30th. It recognises the history, experiences and accomplishments of black people and is a celebration of culture and diversity.
