Colourful creations, designed by Performance Costume students at Edinburgh College of Art, will be part of a performance at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art on Saturday, 12 December.

The third year art students have been inspired by the ARTIST ROOMS Roy Lichtenstein exhibition, which is currently on display at the gallery.

They will team up with students from Edinburgh CollegeÕs BA Honours Dance course, who will don the vibrant costumes and perform in the exhibition space.

Dayna AliÕs foam bikini design pokes fun at pop artÕs depiction of women. Her cartoonish costume includes an ice cream top made with expanding foam, blonde wig and excessive make-up.

Roy Lichtenstein: Performing Costume is a collaboration between the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh College.

Pictured is: Joao Costa wears the costume designed by Yan Smiley, Olivia Cornera models an ice cream top designed by Dayna Ali, Cornelia Sokyte models a costume by Auguste Greicute, Katie MacDonald models a design by Olivia Cornera and Emma Buchanan models a design made by Velia Ansorg.
