Edinburgh College Product Design students will be displaying their project work at the Scottish National Gallery throughout July and August.
The students were tasked by National Galleries Scotland to design a promotional, portable studio in a box which would allow the transport of art materials and equipment to open spaces around Edinburgh and beyond.
During the four week project, students researched, explored and produced concepts which could be taken to the next stage of the design process by specialist Art and Design and Engineering staff.
The creative project is a collaboration between the National Galleries of Scotland and Edinburgh College’s School of Art and Design and Engineering Faculty.
You can view an array of the students’ work, including 2D and 3D concepts and scale models, at the Scottish National Gallery – Princes Street Gardens entrance.
A comment book is available for visitors to comment on the project work.
