Vote for college funded projects

Please support Edinburgh College and vote for our community projects to receive funding.

We have two community projects that have applied for funding from Shared Vision – Your Decision, which enables members of the public to decide how public money is spent in eradicating Islamophobia and associated prejudice behaviour. These are:

  • Protest in Harmony has applied for funding to support singing and songwriting workshops for Edinburgh College students and people in the local community to explore similarities and differences and raising awareness of issues around Islamophobia.
Please support by voting for project number 21. More information is available here.
  • ELREC (Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council) has applied for funding to deliver empathy-based and awareness raising training across Edinburgh, including to students and staff within the college. It will involve recruiting young people and volunteers to help other young people develop greater awareness about the effects of Islamophobia.
Please support by voting for project number 11. More information is available here.

You can vote online at www.scotland.police.uk/shared-vision-your-decision or at your local library.

Voting closes at 12 noon on Monday 13 February.

Anyone over the age of eight who lives, works, studies or volunteers within the Edinburgh area is eligible to vote. Please note you need to vote for five projects and can only give each project one vote.
